CanCan officially launched at Bristol’s inaugural Blue Earth Summit! This incredible opportunity allowed us to share our progress, communicate our ambitious plans for future growth with delegates and most importantly put our system to the test and prove the impact we’re making.
The impact of delegates using CanCan reusables over the two days…
We’ve crunched the numbers and with 651 cups used over the two days, the delegates of Blue Earth Summit saved a huge 21.67kg of carbon and stopped 11.78kg of waste going to landfill. An incredible saving with the data as evidence.
We were also fortunate enough to participate in the ‘Pitch Tent’. An amazing opportunity to showcase the system and demonstrate how the scheme can help pioneer the reusables movement in cities across the UK.
We shared the stage with Nuud Gum, Pixii and Vivolife – three businesses helping to drive change towards a more sustainable world. It’s great to know we’re in a community of forward thinkers developing products that solve a problem.
We loved hearing Hugo Tagholm, CEO of Surfers Against Sewage talk about their work to combat plastic pollution in coastal and river regions here and abroad and his poignant comment that “too little is being done too late” left us feeling empowered to play our part in ending single use.
Last but certainly not least… getting out to surf at The Wave was obviously a highlight of the summit!
